To build a professional-grade culinary laboratory that doubles as an intimate gathering stage for evening dinners. Zero clutter, non-porous heat-resilient surfaces, and dramatic, focused lighting.
A culinary atelier created for a restaurateur couple in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. Designed around a monolithic 4-meter island carved from flamed Deccan basalt stone.
The Architectural Approach
Form follows climate, texture, and light.
We celebrated the dark, dramatic minerals native to the Deccan Plateau. Dark basalt counters are paired with blackened steel reveals and deep-stained ash cabinetry, punctured only by pinpoint brass luminaires.
